Award winning emerging designer Soreyda Benedit Begley started sewing at the tender age of 13 making patterns and constructing garments.  Born and raised in Honduras and now based in Kentucky, she never lost her love of fashion and at 18 she started designing clothes.  She participated in artist collaborations creating unique one of a kind runway pieces for artist design shows in Lexington, her home town, New York and Georgia.  Soreyda launched her own fashion brand label, S. Benedit, in the spring of 2005 and has expanded her product range to include cocktail and evening dresses.  She is currently showing her 2010 Spring-Summer Collection at the Virginia Beach Fashion Week.  S. Benedit is sold through Zag’s Boutique in Lexington.
