In the year 2000, Dutch NGO Solidaridad starts developing organic cotton in Peru and introducing it to the fashion industry. None of the big brands are interested in using organic cotton. Solidaridad decides to start its own jeansbrand. Kuyichi, a style conscious jeansbrand is launched in 2001, based in The Netherlands. Since the launch Kuyichi has rapidly expended and is now represented in more than 500 leading stores across Europe.

Kuyichi's pioneering spirit pays off this season! The focus has been on researching for new sustainable materials in both the collection as for denim. Think of vegetable dyes, recycled cotton, recycled PET and hemp.  Kuyichi is proud to introduce new sustainable denim concepts for AW09: organic cotton, linen denim, bamboo denim and hemp denim! New this season is Pure Plus; a fashion denim range for women. Pure Premium stays innovating by bringing sustainability to the highest level!
