We are having our very own love affair with cut-outs for the Spring 2010 season, they are showing up everywhere.  New York emerging designer
Shauntele
and her emerging fashion label by the same name are not being out done.  Shauntele’s multi-dimensional dresses and separates are an array of color contrasts and fitting construction.  She combines the fine art of tailoring and the allure of femininity by adding cut-outs that leave much to the imagination creating soft silhouettes for women.  Shauntele is based out of New York and has been sewing since the age of six.  She interned for Nikka and she has sewn for Judy Reyes and Jessica Simpson.

Shauntele’s inspiration comes from music, “A song is the same expressive medium for a musician as a dress is for a designer. You wear every thread of that harmony and become linked with every strand, every color of that melody.” says Shauntele.  It is very apparent and noticed simply by looking at her collection that there is concurrence that the design details are dancing.  Shauntele’s ability to marry asymmetrical patterns with draping, giving her dresses movement is a stand out creating a sophisticated seduction.

I love this collection! I’ve seen her Fall pieces at Zhozet boutique in the lower east side. The pieces really standout and I can’t wait to see more
